My Approach
I know that we are all vastly complicated beings–social, intellectual, spiritual, emotional, physical beings. As a therapist, I am trained to be someone who helps others when challenges, questions, and difficulties in life need to be understood and resolved.
I am a cis gendered, heterosexual male with mixed ethnicity (Black and White) as well as a mixed cultural identity (raised in China).
My strengths include my empathetic listening, compassionate speaking, strong intuitive understanding and acuity at picking up non-verbal clues and connecting dots.
I like to listen and learn about my clients and let their stories, needs and goals guide the approach I use. Therapy modalities that I tend to use are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Solutions-Focused Brief and Family Therapy.
Specialization
I enjoy working with people of all kinds and ages but have spent specific attention on the youth population as well as couples and other kinds of interpersonal relationships.
