My Approach
Navigating today’s complex and ever-changing world isn’t easy, no matter if you’re a young adult or a seasoned adult. If you’re feeling overwhelmed or frustrated, you are not alone. Whether you are facing challenges in your relationships, career, navigating trauma, anxiety or other stressors, know that these struggles do not define you or detract from your value, competency, or lovability.
I specialize in helping my clients navigate experiences through experiential-dynamic therapy. While I am trained in a number of modalities, I employ a type of therapy called Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), that is internally focused and helps my clients overcome the challenges they face in day-to-day life. This method relies on more than just talk and is specifically designed to help people gain insight to confront a variety of concerns head on. I also help clients identify, attune and confront aspects of their lives that may be uncomfortable and that they tend to avoid.
When you work with me, you’ll get support in a caring and non-judgmental environment. You’ll also have a partner and cheerleader on your journey — someone who has survived trauma herself caused by childhood abuse. These experiences, paired with my psychotherapy training, create a safe, nurturing space where you can focus on taking care of your mind, body, and spirit and embracing the happy, fulfilling life you deserve.
