My Approach
Welcome, I’m glad you’re here! My name is Rachel, and I am passionate about supporting parents, youth, and post-secondary students through the tough things life throws at us. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just looking to grow, I would be honoured to accompany you through this phase of life.
I particularly enjoy working with those who are neurodivergent / have neurodivergent family members and people who are navigating major seasons of change. If you are tackling the complexities of trauma, life expectations, or emotional dysregulation, I look forward to meeting you with empathy and sensitivity in our sessions. I am affirming of non-conventional identities, family structures, and relationships.
In recognizing that you are a unique individual with your own experiences and values, my goal is to create a compassionate space for you to safely explore difficult feelings and cultivate a more fulfilling life. Although I may incorporate facets of various therapeutic modalities, I strongly believe in “different strokes for different folks” and reflect this in my individualized approach and relationship with each person.
If you’re looking for someone who will hear you and support you in sustaining positive change, let’s work together to find something that feels right for you! Since I believe that you should have the freedom to find a therapist that works for you, I invite you to schedule a free 15 minute “Meet and Greet” today.
As I complete my Master of Social Work, I am working under the clinical supervision of Anita Owusu, MSW, RSW.
